	Grades 3-5 Touchpoint Conferences Our new March Grades 3-5 Parent-Teacher "Touchpoint Conferences" via Zoom are right around the corner! Conferences will take place after school on Tuesday, March 18. If you haven't already, we encourage you to review the suggestions for preparing for the conference and to email your child's teacher in advance with specific topics you would like to discuss.
	2025-26 Proposed Budget The Draft 2025-25 Budget Book has been released. Here is a high level summary of the 2025-26 proposed budget: 2025-26 Budget: $191,504,833 [3.55%/3/40% budget/tax levy increase] Scarsdale = 1.77% Tax Rate Increase; Mamaroneck = 0.23% Tax Rate Decrease
	Forecasting Fun at Greenacres! CBS 2 meteorologist John Elliott made a visit to Greenacres on Wednesday! He brought his unique style and enthusiasm to the 3rd graders as part of the Science 101 program. Students were treated to an engaging learning experience where they exchanged ideas and deepened their understanding of weather. Watch a clip from the CBS2 News to see and hear all the excitement!
	Storytelling 101 @ SMS Inspired by "The Moth", SMS students are learning how to craft well-structured narratives with engaging openings and satisfying conclusions, while also developing transferrable performance skills such as voice mechanics, body language, and audience engagement. They will have the opportunity to share their narratives on March 27 at the SMS Voices event. Thank you to Mr. DeBerry, Ms. Scalici, and Ms. Del Balzo for inviting parents in to learn about the process!
	Capital Projects Steering Committee Thank you to the many community members who applied to be at-large participants on the Capital Projects Steering Committee. The skills, experiences, and dedication demonstrated by the applicants was remarkable, and made selection extremely difficult. The selected community members are: Rebecca Myers Koike; Matt Picheny; Scott Silberfein; Hilary Thomas; and Stephanie Tsang. We look forward to our first meeting on Thursday, March 20.
