SMS Field Restored, Bond Scope Finalized
Thank you to to all who participated in Monday's Public Bond Forum. After the Forum, the Board determined that the Scarsdale Middle School Turf Field project would be added back to the bond scope. This brings the final scope to $101,707,875. The full scope and bond budget can be found on the bond website (www.scarsdaleschools.org/bond2026), along with an individual tax impact calculator that can be used to determine the tax implications for individual homeowners. Updated project phasing and financial impact documents have also been posted to the Bond site.

Math Parent Coffee 2/26/26
Join us Thursday, February 26th, at QRS from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM for our Elementary Math Fluency Parent Workshop/Coffee. All interested elementary school parents and caregivers are invited. The event is a follow-up to our June, 2026, Parent Coffee and will be hosted by school leaders, math curriculum leaders, and teachers from across our five elementary schools. We look forward to highlighting, modeling, and celebrating the important K-5 math fluency work happening across our schools and sharing tips on how to support your child at home. Please visit our Elementary Mathematics curriculum site for more information about our elementary program.
Reclaim the Game
With the Super Bowl coming up, Scarsdale Action for Youth has an important prevention message to share.
Gambling and alcohol use impact the adolescent brain in the same way. In fact, teens who gamble and drink alcohol are more likely to develop mental health and addiction issues. For more information on teen gambling, please go to https://www.sayscarsdale.org/gambling. Love the Game, Not the Odds or the Beer.
America 250/Scarsdale 325 Flag Design Contest
In celebration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States and the 325th anniversary of Scarsdale, the Village will be hosting a Flag Design Contest to mark the occasion. Residents of all ages are invited to create a unique design that celebrates these milestones and showcases our vibrant community. Flags should be representative of both our Village and our country, tying together local and national history. The winning design will be transformed into a physical flag that will be flown at Village Hall and other Village properties throughout 2026. Residents are encouraged to use their creativity and join us in commemorating these important anniversaries. Entries must be received by March 20 at 5 PM. Click here for complete details and here for the design submission form. Please contact Assistant Village Manager Ruby Tower with any questions at rtower@scarsdale.gov.
