Capital Projects Update
Thank you! We received 828 responses to the recent Capital Projects Bond survey. The survey results and feedback from our October 16 public engagement session were shared and discussed at Monday's BOE meeting. We also shared the updated Demographic Report and discussed a conceptual redistricting analysis. Two important outcomes of these discussions that the Board determined were 1) the redistricting laid out in the report is not a viable option, as it would potentially create more issues than solutions, and 2) the growing need for classrooms and spaces for services at Edgewood and Fox Meadow needs to be addressed while maintaining equity amongst the schools in the District. Please join us on November 6 @ 7 PM via Zoom for further dialog and to share your questions and suggestions.
Halloweekend is High Risk
Halloween weekend is when many younger teens first try alcohol and older teens binge drink or use drugs. Every year, Scarsdale teens are hospitalized due to drinking too much alcohol. Even one drink can be riskier than you think.   Scarsdale Action for Youth encourages parents and caregivers to start the conversation at home now. SAY's   Don't Be Scared Be Prepared campaign provides key tips for parents on how to Beware, Prepare, and Take Care.
37 SHS Musicians @ Area All-State!
Congratulations to our 6 Band, 7 Choral, and 24 Orchestra performers who were selected to participate in yesterday's  Area All-State Concert at Purchase College! These 10th, 11th, and 12th graders are dedicated musicians who performed with peers across Westchester County under the direction of guest conductors Jamal Duncan (Concert Band); Shoshana Hershkowitz and Eric Williamson (Chorus), Rick Webb (String Orchestra); and James Millar (Symphony Orchestra). Bravo!
SHS Drama Club Presents...

We ❤️ Scarsdale
Congratulations to the Village on a successful Paint the Dale event (click on the picture to enlarge)! Chase Park is now showing off a beautiful piece of public art that reflects our community. We especially appreciate the representation of our schools, as they are a vital component of the community. The next time you are in the Village, be sure to take a moment to check it out!
