Hello Raider Fans,
Girls Soccer and Field Hockey both saw their seasons end with losses to White Plains.
Girls Soccer lost 6-2 on Monday. The score was close most of the game, and the team fought until the end. They have much to be proud of this season.
Field Hockey fell 1-0 on Monday with very strong play on defense. In the end, White Plains used their athleticism to hold on to their lead from a first-half goal. After a rebuilding year, our team showed remarkable growth and a competitive spirit throughout this season.
Boys Soccer defeated a tough White Plains team in the Quarterfinals yesterday. They advance to play at John Jay East Fishkill on Thursday, October 30 at 5:00. We are aware of the weather forecast for heavy rain and strong winds. We are working with Section 1 and monitoring any changes to the schedule.
Finals: Sunday, November 2, 12:00 at Lakeland High School
Girls Volleyball defeated Ossining yesterday 3-0. They advance to the quarterfinals on Friday, October 31 at Mamaroneck at 4:30.
Semifinals: Thursday, November 6, time and location TBD.
Finals: Sunday, November 9, 1:30 at the Country Center.
Football will play this Friday, October 31 at 6:00 at SHS against Clarkstown South. Come cheer our Raiders on Halloween, but please leave masks, face coverings, and props at home as they will not be allowed. Spectators will be asked to remove those items or leave campus.
Girls Tennis player Isabel Lin saw her NYSPHSAA Championships come to an end in round 2 at the USTA Tennis Center in Flushing, NY. Incredible season, Isabel!
As previously mentioned, the Girls Swimming and Diving team will compete in the Section 1 Championships from November 6-10. The Section 1 Game Day Cheerleading Tournament is Sunday, November 2 at Arlington High School. Section 1 Cross Country Varsity Championships will be held on Sunday, November 8 at Bowdoin Park. The Boys Volleyball postseason schedule will be shared when available.
Also, a reminder that Gold Card Registration is open for the Winter season. If you already have a family account with Arbiter, then visit the Scarsdale Registration page to register. The schedule for the opening week of Winter sports can be found here.
Lastly, we will hold our Fall Signing Day on November 12 to celebrate any student-athletes who have committed to bring their athletic talents to the college-level. If you wish to take part, please complete this information form. Athletes who do not participate on Scarsdale High School teams are welcome to participate.
Thanks and Go Raiders!!
