	Budget Passes Thank you to our community for participating in our annual budget vote and election. The 2025-26 budget passed with 586 in favor and 160 against for a 79% approval rate. In the Board election, Collen Brown and Suzie Hahn were re-elected, and Laura Ying Liu was elected to her first term. Their terms will run from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2028. Congratulations to all three!
	Entrepreneurship - Pitch Night & Summit Pitch night has become a highly anticipated tradition at SHS. On April 23, after nearly a year of extensive study, design, and iteration, students in AT Entrepreneurship publicly pitched their human-centered design projects and intended impacts. You can watch the Pitch Night video here! Also, on Tuesday of this week, SHS hosted a Global Entrepreneur Summit with students participating in person and virtually from Florida, Massachusetts, Scotland, and Italy. These event are just some of the examples of the incredible work our students and teachers do together every day!
	SHS Non-Sibi Day Today was the annual SHS Non-Sibi Day of Service. The theme empathy, agency, action inspired 60 workshops ranging from Able Athletics to Warm Words for Wise Hearts. Students designed and led many workshops, and guest speakers from our community and beyond graciously shared their expertise. Thank you to the Non-Sibi Day Committee for planning such a great day for students- Ethan Paul, Kimberly Summerfield, Kevin Anton, Robin Bray, John Catania, Dina Dadabo, Amanda Rios-Thomas, Jessie Towle, and Danny Zeliger.
	Memorial Day Parade 5/26 The Village of Scarsdale and the Scarsdale American Legion Post 53 will host the annual Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony in the Village Center on Monday, May 26. The ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m. in Chase Park, followed by the parade at approximately 10:30 a.m. The parade will travel up Popham Road, continue onto Church Lane, and return to Chase Park via Crane Road.
	Postseason Prowess! Congratulations to our Spring Athletes! Boys and Girls Golf - section champs! Baseball- Semi-finals Saturday @ Ketcham! Girls Flag - Section 1 Finals Saturday @ Lakeland! Girls Lax - made it to the playoffs, lost to New Rochelle. Boys Lax - playoffs 5/28! Boys Tennis - 2nd in Section! Ultimate - Championships this weekend in Albany.
