Transportation Policies & Lost and Found

Route Schedule

School transportation is provided on days and at times established by the school district’s official calendar. Click here to view the dates there will not be private school transportation provided. Transportation will conform to any subsequent changes as approved by the Transportation Supervisor. Please note that transportation will not be tailored to individual children's schedules. Additional or alternate transportation will not be provided if a student is unable to take the regularly scheduled bus.

Route Consistency and Communication

Our drivers are required to follow the assigned route each day, a driver may not make a change to the routing to accommodate an unauthorized stop.  This practice provides consistency and ensures that we can maintain the prescribed schedule even if your assigned driver is out for the day and a substitute driver must run the route.

  • If your child will not be taking the bus in the morning, please call us to notify us at 914-721-2433 or 914-721-2434.

  • If a student is not taking the bus in the morning and no call has been received, we will assume the student is absent for the day and will not send the bus in the afternoon unless there are other students to be picked up.

Authorized Personnel Only

Only authorized persons are permitted to board school buses and vans. This includes approved transportation pupils, bus drivers, bus monitors, and school officials. Visitors and guests are not allowed on the bus at any time for the safety of all students.

Lost and Found

  • At the end of each route (morning and afternoon), all drivers check their bus for any lost items.
  • Drivers will attempt to return the item to the student within 1 day.
  • Found items will be turned in at the Transportation Office by the end of the 2nd day.
  • Substitute drivers will turn in the found items at the end of their run.
  • We are not responsible for lost or stolen items left behind.

 Storage & Disposal Policy

  • Non-valuable items (clothing, lunchboxes, water bottles, etc) will be kept at our Bus Compound for 30 days before being donated or discarded.
  • Valuable items will be stored securely until claimed or turned over to the appropriate authorities after an extended period.

If you need further assistance with a lost item, reach out to the Transportation Office for more details at 914-721-2433 or 914-721-2434
